So…you wanna be rich? Well, of course, you do, otherwise, you would not have clicked on this title, and guess what, you’re not alone. So many of us have wishes and hopes of hitting the lottery or finally getting out of debt one day. While some of our money dreams may be grander than others, I’m here to tell you that no matter how big or how small your dream for money and prosperity is, you can have it ALL. Working with herbs is a great way for you to begin removing your money blockages to start allowing all of that delicious abundance to flow into your life.

Yes, you read that correctly, you can use every day, bet-you-have-it-in-your-kitchen-right-now, herbs to draw in money, prosperity, and abundance. Not only will I introduce you to 11 different master money herbs, but also show you how to best use each one, along with 3 very effective ways in which you can begin working with these magickal herbs within your own craft.

Traditionally speaking, herbs are one of Mother Earth’s gifts to life. They serve as a great way to add rich flavors to our food and provides medicinal relief to almost any ailment. Chances are you have performed some degree of herbal magick in your life and these traditions are very commonly passed down through family members who may tell you make a cup of peppermint or ginger tea when you’re stomach is upset, or adding certain spices to your chicken soup to cure the flu. Herbs can be used for just about anything, and its uses are not just limited to what we can do with them in the physical world. For centuries healers have worked with the Earth’s energy to heal, cure, and influence our lives by working with the magickal properties of herbs.

Herbs are Earth energy and are naturally attuned to attract or repel other energies. They are a powerful intention setting tool that should be honored and appreciated when using, for they too are alive.

Using herbs in money and prosperity rituals is very easily done and you should not cap your creativity when working with them. At the end of this post, I will provide 3 powerful ways in which you can work with the below list of 11 money and prosperity herbs. There are so many ways you can work with herbs to draw in financial prosperity, however, I will be share what has worked for me and others I’ve advised. This is from my experience and you should draw from your own if you feel inspired to use the herb in a different fashion.

As I always advise, your own intuitive guidance system should always supersede anyone else’s.

1) Basil

A powerful and popular herb amongst all witches. In Spanish, it is called, Albahaca, and can easily be found in the form of a floor wash or bath wash.

Uses: Love, luck, money attraction, and removing curses

Where to get: Can use fresh or dried. Local food market, produce (fresh) or spice (dried) section. 

How to use in money magick: Sprinkle dried herb over candles, boil fresh herb and make a floor wash or add to bath, or carry in pockets to always attract wealth.

2) Cinnamon

Another master herb amongst energy workers. This powerful herb comes in various forms and is very versatile in its uses as well. Its energy is linked to Archangel Michael and is a staple for many exorcism rituals. 

Uses: Banishing, hex & curse removal, love spells, especially good for sex magick

3) Chamomile

A great herb often found in the form of tea. This common herb is easily found and is an excellent money attraction herb. Most people use this herb to aid with sleep and relaxation, but this beautiful herb can also provide relief in financial struggles as well as love!

How to use in money magick: In a tea, of course, visualize you are drinking in the abundance or add to hand soap to make a magickal lucky handwash.

Another amazing attraction herb and one of my favorites to use in beauty & attraction spells. Think about what a cat does, hunts and catches its prey. That is often the intention set when using this herb which can be drunken as a tea or even smoked. Please check with your primary health care practitioner before consumption.

Uses: Attraction magick, beauty, love, sex and quick money

How to use in money magick: Sprinkle onto your candles, add to your herbal baths, sprinkle a bit into your wallet, and carry with you.

5) Bayberry

I first learned about this herb from Reiki Master and Candle Magick Practioner, Jasmine Aten. On her YouTube channel as she swears by the use of this herb, especially in her candle magick spells. This inspired me to work with this herb and the results have been very successful.

Uses: Soulmate love, luck, success in business, wealth & prosperity

6) Bay leaf

This herb has so many uses and is a personal favorite of mine when I am working on developing my psychic gifts or wish-fulfillment. While this herb is not directly used for financial benefit, it does aid in wish-fulfillment, which means you can use this herb to aid in those big money dreams baby.

Uses: Protection against psychic attack, removing hexes, wish fulfillment

How to use in money magick: Add a leaf to your wallet for protection, set then intention to protect your money, write down a wish onto the leaf and burn, use smoke as incense to enchant a piece of jewelry as a good luck charm

7) Mint

A great herb, medicinally one of my favorites for upset stomach and in essential oil form, it is an excellent way to ease a headache by rubbing it onto your temples.

Uses: Love, money, lust magick, protection and medicinally for headaches and stomach upset.

Where to get: Whole herb can be tricky to find, can use the tea bag grounds or find herb in local produce.

How to use in money magick: Sprinkle into the wallet, add to money oils and rub into bills. The scent alone in your wallet is believed to be enough to attract money.

8) Clove

Another very common household herb, this is a personal favorite to burn as incense, its sweet aroma releases an intoxicating scent that serves as an aphrodisiac or air purifier. Clove essential oil is also wonderful to use as it aids beautifully when working with the lower chakra systems.

How to use in money magick: Burn as incense and use to purify and infuse ancestor money before burning, and all tools that you use to conduct business such as pens that you sign checks with. Ground and sprinkle into money candles or add to money oils.

This fiery herb is not just a staple in jerk food seasoning but also spices up the energy when using in money and wealth magick. I personally enjoy using allspice in my beauty and attraction rituals as I feel it heats up the overall energy.

Although more of a grain than an herb, this should come as no surprise to see on this list. Throughout history, rice can be found as a symbol of prosperity, luck, good health and wealth. This is why rice is commonly thrown during weddings and because of its abundance, this grain is considered holy and is a staple food item in many cultures.

How to use in money magick: Sprinkle onto a plate and place a money candle in the center and burn, add a statue of a laughing Buddha to increase the energy of drawing in wealth through positive means. Best used with “green rice” which can be found online or at local spiritual shops. Boil a pot and gently draw money sigils along the top of the pot of cooked rice, eat and imagine being filled with blessings of wealth.

11) High John the Conqueror Root

OK, if you are anything like me, and if this is the first time you are hearing about this herb, you are probably wondering, who is High John and what did he conquer. How to use in money magick: Ground and sprinkle on anything you feel called to, add to a charm bag, carry a piece around with you. Exercise extreme fire safety when adding High John to your candle magick – remember it turns up the energy behind anything.

Activating your herbs magickal properties

Before working with these herbs, you must first activate their magickal properties. Follow these suggested ways below to help with this part of the process. Once the herbs’ energy has been activated, you can work with them for any of the magickal uses below or as to how you see fit.

Create money, abundance, and prosperity in your life by taking any combination of the above herbs. You can select the herbs by using the method of 3, by choosing only 3 herbs, select based on your intention, or just use your intuition. Once you’ve selected your herbs, use any one of the below ways to activate its properties, and set your intention.

• Add the herbs to boiling water and let seep for up to 15 mins to release its properties. As the water cools (or as it boils, just be careful not to get splashed or burned by the steam) pray over the water and set your intention. You can do this by hovering your hands with your palms facing downward above the water, with your receptive (left-hand for most) hand resting on top of your dominant hand (right-hand for most). Again both palms will be facing down. Imagine white light and golden light streaming from your palms and into the water molecules. Strain the herbs from the water and use the water as desired.

• Using hot water, hover your hands along the side of the pot of water and visualize glowing white light streaming from your palms into the water. Visualize that you are filling the water with so much light energy it begins to move the water molecules, making the water dance, swirl, bubble, fizz, or whatever comes to mind. The key is to infuse the water molecules with your intention through your mind’s eye. Strain the herbs from the water and use the water as desired.

• Grind the money herbs of your choice in a pester and mortar or by placing it into a Ziplock and crushing with a rolling pin or with your hands. Enchant the herbs with your intention by imagining each time you grind (crush) the herbs you are imprinting into them your intent.

• Pray over your herbs for a few mins, hours, or set aside sometime each day. Pray over the herbs to infuse with your intention. Soak the herbs in the moonlight or sunlight to further increase its magickal properties.

Now that we understand how to activate our herb’s properties, let’s start working with them!

Here are 3 very simple ways that can begin drawing in your abundance.

Money & Prosperity Herbs Magickal Use # 1

MAGICKAL OILS

Depending on how you’ve prepared your herbs, you can add crushed herbs or blend the liquid into your choice of carrier oils. Carrier oils that are good to use for prosperity & money oils are sweet almond, olive oil, and grapeseed. You can choose to combine them all or use just one. Add additional essential or fragrant oils to your taste such as frankincense & myrrh. Consider adding shredded money (best to use on candles and magickal tools, not on skin), shredded ancestor money, and of course gold glitter if you’d like. Mix all properties together, pour and store into any dark-colored glass bottle to best preserve, and store in a cool dry place. Over the next 3, 7, or 21 days, gently shake the contents and place back. On the 3rd, 7th, or 21st day, depending on what you decide, your money oil is ready for use. Best prepared during the nights waxing moon leading to the full moon.

Money & Prosperity Herbs Magickal Use # 2

CHARM & MOJO BAGS

Take your collection of herbs and add them to a cloth pouch. If you want to follow the traditional hoodoo method, take a plaid cloth, cut two 2-3inch length squares, and sew together the edges. If you do not have plaid then use any color cloth, green or brown may be best since we are dealing with money. You can also use a velvet drawstring bag and either sew the top or keep sealed with the drawstring. Add into your charm bag along with your prosperity herbs, your petition, prosperity crystals such as moss agate or pyrite and dress with Prosperity, Money or Abundance oil before sealing. Add other good luck charms and items. There is no set number on how many items you can add, don’t overfill it, remember it is the intention and not the number of items included that counts.

Money & Prosperity Herbs Magickal Use # 3

CANDLE MAGICK

Depending on the type of candle you are working with you can choose to add the crushed herbs directly onto the candle. Anoint the (preferably green) candle with money, prosperity or abundance oil and then dress with herbs. If you are working with a glass jar pillar candle, dress the candle with the oil and sprinkle the herbs in a clockwise motion. If you are dressing an offering plate that your candles will be burned on, also sprinkle onto the plate in a clockwise motion. Always practice fire safety, never burn candles unattended, especially around pets and children. For added safety, burn the candle in a bowl of water or fill the kitchen sink with about an inch of water, place, and burn the candle in the sink.
