Is it time for a Spiritual Cleanse? EASY Bath/Shower Recipe to Cleanse, Boost & Protect Your Aura

Have words like a spiritual bath or spiritual shower ever left your scratching your head? Leaving you wondering, “How the hell does one cleanse and protect their energy?” And more importantly, “How the hell do I know if I need one?” Many people have heard of, but are not familiar with what or how a Spiritual Cleansing works. Believe it or not, it is not nearly as complex or weird as it sounds.

A Spiritual Bath or Shower is a magical blend of various elements like salts, herbs, flowers, essential oils, and other ingredients. Some practitioners go as far as to adding milk, nuts and the juice of boiled herbs and plants. The blend is then added directly to a bath as a soak or into a jug/bucket of water which is then poured over oneself if showering.

The purpose of a spiritual bath is to boost, heal and restore your aura. Clearing away the negatively attaching energies a LOT longer than the effects of smudging. There are so many recipes, rituals and bath salt blends that you can follow or purchase just by Googling. One of the best videos I’ve found on spiritual cleansing that also offers a basic understanding is by a dope-ass practitioner who runs PrettyBossTV, check it out here.

Some of the reasons people take spiritual baths are to attract:

  • Protection & Clarity
  • Money & Abundance
  • Self- Love
  • Romantic Love
  • Sexual Love
  • Physical healing
  • Relaxation & Self- Care
  • Power before performing a magic ritual
  • Any time you want!

Of course, there are plenty of other ways to cleanse and protect your aura. Most people who cleanse will use a smudging agent such as burning palo santo, white sage, frankincense, myrrh, white copal (a personal favorite) or other dried herbs. While this is a great practice, I’ve noticed the effects of smudging usually offer only temporary relief from whatever stress, anxieties or depressive moods I feel at that given moment. On days where I feel very heavy, I love using this easy, yet powerful spiritual bath/shower recipe which you will find below. It leaves me feeling recharged, uplifted and removes a lot of my physical & emotional aches and pains.

So, want to know if you need a spiritual cleanse?? Well, let’s check!

Have you been feeling:

  • Consistently exhausted or lethargic
  • Cloudy & foggy
  • Depression or mood swings
  • Anxiety
  • Heaviness pressing on down on your shoulders
  • Forgetfulness & misplacing items
  • Decreased sex drive
  • Not being in the mood for your usual favorite activities

If you checked off at least 2 items from the above shortlist, then…yes, ya need one. So let’s get started!

One very important step you must always follow is to be hygienically clean first, and it never hurts to do a once over in your bathroom.

What you will need-

  • 1.5 cups of Salt (Epsom, Sea, Himalayan- 1/2 cup of each or blend as you desire)
  • Florida water or Rosewater
  • Lavender and/or peppermint essential oil (please avoid if allergic)
  • Rosemary, clove, bay leaf
  • 1 large mason jar
  • If taking shower – (1) Empty one-gallon jug or newly purchased bucket
  • For added potency add roses (any color – use your intuition!)
  • For max results, add a few drops of collected rainwater or Moon water

WHAT TO DO –

Simple Spiritual Bath Instructions

(Again) remember to always clean yourself hygienically first!

  1. Adding directly into your mason jar, mix the salt, a few sprigs of rosemary, a small handful of clove and 3 crushed bay leaf.
  2. Add 7 drops of lavender essential oil and 2-3 drops peppermint essential oil. If you are adding roses, you can either shred a few petals and add it to the mixture or add the petals whole directly to your bath (which of course is super sexy).
  3. Place your dominant hand over the contents in the jar and activate its magic by stating a prayer (perhaps a verse from Psalms) or whatever words that come to heart.
  4. Run bathwater. Add an intuitive amount of Florida or rose water, aka just a few drops. Stir bath with dominant hand instructing the water how to heal you and visualizing the healing glow. Thank your bath water for the healing and hop on in!
  5. Feel free to add a white candle and incense if you feel inspired to. Soak for 15-20 mins.
  6. Air dry!

Simple Spiritual Shower Instructions

Remember to always clean yourself hygienically first, before taking.

Follow steps 1-3 under bath instructions.

  1. Next, run your shower. Add an intuitive amount of Florida or rose water to the mason jar aka just a few drops. Pour the salt mixture into the empty 1-gallon jug. You can also use a newly purchased plastic or wooden bucket (as salt can have an adverse reaction to metal, and who the hell wants that on their skin)
  2. Fill the jug or bucket with very warm water and place your hand over it to activate its magic by stating a prayer (perhaps a verse from Psalms) or whatever words that come to heart.
  3. While in the shower pour the liquid mixture over your body imaging a white light cleansing you directly from the water gardens of the Goddess’s fountains.
  4. Feel free to add a white candle and incense if you feel inspired to.
  5. Air dry!

Over the next three days keep a written log in your phone or journal, jotting down how you feel physically, emotionally, mentally. Identify what you notice. Are you feeling lighter, more clear-minded, or just less tense? Play with the recipe and see what works best with your spiritual energy. Some of the best times to use this cleansing is during the Waning or Full Moon. If you are feeling called to use other ingredients or add a few extras, by all means, follow what your intuition always called you to do. Be sure to share your results!

Happy healing.
